The VELUX Duo Vertical Extension features a roof window with a vertical extension window installed directly below it. The addition of a vertical window boosts the feeling of space and provides an extended view to the outdoors. The increased window surface also lets in more natural daylight to brighten your home in new, exciting ways. The solution can also be configured as a Quattro, with two rows of Duo Vertical Extension solutions connected together.

VELUX VIU - fixed vertical window element

Fixed vertical element (does not open)
It is an extension of the window above, providing more daylight and extended view to the outside
Material: maintenance-free, long-lasting polyurethane surface

VELUX VFE - vertical window element

Inwards tilting sash to let in more fresh air
It is an extension of the window above, providing more daylight and extended view to the outside
Material: available in lacquered or white-painted pine wood.

VELUX VFA/VFB - tilt and turn, left or right hinged

Available in two models: left-opening (VFA) and right-opening (VFB)
Inwards tilting sash to let in more fresh air
Integrated opening restrictor in order to prevent accidents with unattended children.
Fulfils the legal requirements to be used as an emergency exit.
It is an extension of the window above, providing more daylight and extended view to the outside.

3 materials to choose from

Choose between windows in high-quality plastic or wood. VELUX windows in wood are available either in white or in a clear varnished finish.

White polyurethane finish
White polyurethane roof windows feature a strong core of thermo-modified wood with a seamless waterproof polyurethane coating. The maintenance-free, bright white finish with no visible joints make them ideal for modern homes.

White painted
finish
White painted roof windows are coated with a water-based lacquer and white paint that protects the wood against dirt and moisture. The bright white finish with discreet wood grain is perfect for modern interiors.

Pine
finish
Pine finish roof windows are coated with a water-based clear lacquer that protects the wood against dirt and moisture. Matches perfectly with traditional interiors.
Accessories
Shutters and Sun-screening products

VELUX has a full selection of roller shutters, heat protection awnings, pleated blinds, insect screens and blackout blinds that are designed specifically for your new roof windows. Choose the VELUX sun protection that meets your exact needs from our comprehensive product range. Interior blinds can be easily installed by clicking the blind into pre-fitted brackets on the window.
