Smoke ventilation window GGU is centre-pivoted, mains-powered and operated via the control system for smoke ventilation. The smoke ventilation window is based on the design of roof window GGU. In the VELUX code system, the window is identified by the number "40" at the end of the variant code, for instance GGU MK06 007340.
GGU ----40 is available with and without wind deflector KFD. GGU ----40 with KFD is the same window as GGU -----40 without KFD, but is fitted with wind deflectors both on the inside of the sash and the outside of the frame. Frame, sash and ventilation flap are made of polyurethane moulded around a core of thermally modified timber with a finish of white lacquer.
The exterior of the frame and sash is metal-clad and therefore maintenance-free.
The window is equipped with an insulating glass unit. The electrical components are described in greater detail under each component.
Increase personal safety and building safety in the event of fire with a VELUX smoke ventilation window.
The window automatically opens when smoke is detected to quickly release smoke and excess heat and meets EU requirements. Can also be opened to let in fresh air for comfort ventilation.
Exterior design matches other VELUX roof windows requires a control system to be activated.
