Roof window GTU is top-hung and can be used as a rescue opening. The sash can remain open in any position up to an angle of 45°.
In an emergency situation, the sash can be opened to an angle of 67° by pushing it further up. The entire window opening now provides a quick and easy exit/entrance.
The roof window is operated at the bottom with a handle on the bottom sash. The ventilation flap on the top sash allows fresh air to enter the room through a dust and insect filter. For easy cleaning of the outer glass surface, the roof window can also be operated as a centre-pivot roof window.
Frame, sash and ventilation flap are made of polyurethane moulded around a core of plywood and/or thermally modified timber with a finish of white lacquer. The exterior of the frame and sash is metal-clad and therefore maintenance-free. The window is equipped with an insulating glass unit.
Enjoy all the comfort of a high-quality VELUX roof window with the added peace of mind of knowing that it can be used as a rescue opening.
The top-hung VELUX rescue opening roof window opens outwards to 67° to allow for escape in an emergency situation. The extremely durable polyurethane coating is maintenance-free and moisture-resistant.
